Gingerbread House competition, at Hilton Library

The Grand Prize Winner is Sonya Selig with her entry The Zalipie Painted House. Selig also won first place in the Adult Category.

First place in the Little Ones Category (age 8 and under) was Theodore Reitmeier’s The Magic Tree House, Leo Umlauf won second place with his Standoff Holiday Monster House.

First place in the Youth Category ( age 9-12) was Serafina Visco’s Christmas Night, Frank Umlauf won second place with his Holiday Camper Van.

First place in the Teen Category (age 13-17) was Audrey Marvell with The Princess & the Peppermint, Raine Marvell won second place with Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

All entered projects will be on display at the Hilton Library from December 13 through January 7.

Slavery in New Jersey: A Troubled History is an illustrated 40-page book that traces the evolution of slavery in New Jersey, which began with Dutch settlement in the seventeenth century and continued through the end of the Civil War.
