Apple Groves and Cider Making in Old Maplewood

Find out the story of Maplewood's renowned apples and cider mills. The Crowell Cider Mill is the most well known. It stood near the current site of Columbia High School and was a popular institution for one hundred years. Its orchard extended from Parker Avenue to Maplewood's Town Hall.. Find out how soft and hard cider and vinegar were made and try your hand at a real cider press. Take part in apple tasting and apple games.
