Garden Party & Vintage Wedding Lore

June 3, 2007, 1:00 PM

Celebrate the coming of summer on the beautiful grounds of Durand-Hedden, Maplewood's historic house museum, with old-fashioned treats, games and exhibits. Enjoy strawberries and ice cream while discovering where Maplewood's prized strawberries grew and how long it takes to hand crank ice cream. Try rhubarb "tea" while strolling the Maplewood Garden Club's herb garden, maintained through the great dedication of its members for more than 25 years.

Marilyn Maxwell May, the creator of the interactive Trunk Tour Reminiscing Programs, will display a selection of bridal gowns dating from the early 1900s to the 1990s to a background of traditional wedding music.
