"The Things They Carried, The Stories They Told," and "Wallflower Series," art exhibit at Durand-Hedden on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – February 2026 –
On Sunday, February 1, 2026, Durand-Hedden will host an art exhibit of works by Beverly McCutcheon. McCutcheon is an East Orange-based artist known for her assemblages and fiber collages, which explore themes of domestic workers' passions and women's beauty.
Parking for the Durand-Hedden House is available on nearby streets.
On this day, Durand-Hedden will also host Hannah Till and Black History in the Age of Revolution at The Woodland Parlor in Maplewood. In this entertaining and educational presentation, historical reenactor Leslie Bramlett will portray Hannah Till, an enslaved cook and servant to General George Washington.
